Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Transport Engineer with a strong background in microwave telecommunication. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) and Ethernet networks. This role requires extensive travel, with up to 90% of the time spent on-site at various locations within Northern California.

Key Responsibilities:
---Assist with the design, implementation and maintenance of a variety of TDM and ethernet microwave telecommunication systems that have a mix payload types
---Perform site surveys, equipment installation, and system testing.
---Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to microwave and TDM/Ethernet conversions.
---Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and performance.
---Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:
---Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
---Minimum of 5 years of experience in microwave telecommunication systems.
---Proficiency in converting TDM traffic to Ethernet and vice versa.
---Strong understanding of network protocols and standards.
---Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
---?Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
---Must reside within 150 miles of Redding, California.
---Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.

Preferred Skills:
---Experience with network management tools and software.
---Knowledge of various microwave systems (SIAE, Alcatel, Nokia, Aviat, Cambium, etc)
---Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar.
---Familiarity with fiber optic communication systems.
