Position Overview:
As a Painter, you will support a broad range of activities in a
dynamic, high energy production environment in finishing of the
best rail vehicles in the world.
What will your day-to-day may look like:
--- Showcase your precision skills in prepping, priming, and
applying topcoat to rail car bodies.
--- Take pride in hand-blocking and sanding car shells, preparing
them for the perfect finish.
--- Ensure every surface is masked and cleaned, setting the stage
for impeccable paintwork.
--- Operate a variety of tools with confidence and get certified to
use specialized equipment.
--- Play a key role in the maintenance of our finishing equipment,
keeping it in top condition.
--- Demonstrate your meticulous nature by accurately completing
work orders and quality documentation.
--- Uphold our high standards for quality and efficiency, while
enjoying the autonomy of independent work.
--- Share your knowledge and mentor fellow Painters, contributing
to our culture of continuous improvement.
--- Be a role model in safety, diligently using protective gear and
contributing to our collective well-being.
To thrive in this role, you have:
--- High school education or GED.
--- At least 2 years' experience as an automotive or industrial
painter.
--- Basic English proficiency, with the ability to read and
understand written instructions and effectively communicate.
Additional Information:
Upon offer of employment, candidates will be subject to a
background check and drug screen, as well as Pulmonary Function
Test and Respirator Fit Test.

--- Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl.

The base hourly rate for this position in Sacramento, CA is $22.29
per hour, (plus shift premium - 10% for 2nd shift, 20% for 3rd
shift) . The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending
on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and
qualifications.
