Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiac Progressive Care, Cardiovascular ICU, Telemetry Cardiac, Critical Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour overnight shift, starting at 7:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care License: Current California RN license Certifications: Current BLS, Current ACLS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience, 2 years of Critical Care experience Job Description: - Provide medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care to medium to high acuity patients. - Patients may have existing co-morbidities and require a higher level of care than on general care units. - Serve a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults to geriatrics. - Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses, pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute myocardial infarction, post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, pneumonia, and related conditions. - Maintain a patient to nurse ratio not exceeding 1:4. - May float to other units, including Med/Surg and Critical Care, as needed. - Holiday coverage required.
