• A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Med/Surg Oncology RN for a travel assignment. The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience.
  • Job Requirements
  • MUST have 2-3 years in specialty
  • MUST be team player AND travel experience
  • 2+ years of experience
  • hold an active BLS and CA license
    • Schedule Information
    • 12 hr shifts 6:45-7:15
    • Weekend Requirement-4 weekend shifts in 4 week schedule
    • Holidays-work into perm staff rotation
    • Floor specific orientation-1 shift on unit
      • Unit Specific Information
      • Unit Medsurg Oncology
      • # beds-17 beds
      • Certs-BLS
      • Ratios-1 to 5 could be 1 to 4 if one of patients is getting chemo
      • EMR-Cerner
      • Charge Nurse-clinical supervisor who will not take pt assignment, will fill in as break relief
      • Nurse Aides-1 nurse aide on for 8 hrs of days
      • Floating-to tele 1 to 4 ratio, could also float between medsurg floors
      • Common diagnosis / Types of patients-mostly oncology patients but may have some overflow medsurg
      • Vents-No
      • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house hosp -24/7
      • IV Team-no
      • RT 24/7-yes
      • Pharmacy 24/7 yes
        • Additional Details
        • COVID Vaccine Required (Certification);
        • **HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE CONSIDERED, HOWEVER NOT GUARANTEED
        • Scrub Color-navy
        • Tele-portable tele box as needed, they do have monitor tech, nurses must be able to read and interpret, will have to take dysrhythmia exam
