Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiac Progressive Care, CVICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Telemetry Cardiac, Critical Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days, 0700 start Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical care experience License: Current California RN license Certifications: - Current BLS - Current ACLS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience Job Description: - Provide care in a 30-bed cardiovascular unit catering to medium to high acuity patients. - Manage medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care for stable patients with potential to become unstable. - Address high-complexity cases and existing co-morbidities requiring advanced nursing care. - Serve a patient demographic ranging from young adults to geriatric patients. - Typical cases include cardiac diagnoses, pre/post-cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, acute myocardial infarction, post-pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, pneumonia, and related conditions. - Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio not exceeding 1:4. - Potentially float to other units, including Med/Surg and Critical Care, as needed. - Holiday coverage is required. Note: Must be a W-2 employee of the staffing agency. Use of the EPIC electronic medical record system is required.
